Course Description

This training is available for Frame & Brace, System, and Swing Stage scaffolding. It is designed for individuals who work with, oversee, or install these types of scaffold equipment. The program covers safety aspects related to scaffold foundations, components, regulations, guardrail requirements, and installation and dismantling procedures for scaffolds that exceed the 4:1 base ratio and require stabilization.

The course lasts approximately 5-20 hours (depending on scaffold type), with students required to study the course material prior to class. The home study will be followed by a one-day instructor-led class.

The class will review study materials using real job site examples and encourage student participation. At the end of the day, a written exam will be administered, and results typically take 2-4 weeks. A score of 70% or higher is required to pass.

Upon successful completion, students will receive a Certificate of Completion from SAIA.
